A Delightful Day

On Sunday (Mothers Day), we went for a Dawson-Cosser style (i.e. a giant pasta salad taken to the park in a huge wooden serving bowl, with a couple jugs of ice tea and the relevant crockery in a cardboard box) picnic at Delta Park...  aka my happy place.

Taking a stroll around the dam.

Gliding in the glisten.

Beautiful weather reflected.

My love, Duncan, Me, Abi, Mike.

"Don't all puppies have a skew ear?"

Perfection.

Shot for the gorgeous weather Big Guy!

Google Art

No, don't go and verb google art... check out the noun "Google" art:

I grew up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss story books - they have a little warm and fuzzy place in my heart and these Google images, celebrating the 76th birthday of author Roger Hargreaves are too adorable!
Go check it out - although there are not too many hours left in the day - they keep renewing :)

Pretty Pretty Parasol

Pretty damn huge!
This truly blows my 3rd year engineering brain...

Seville, Spain, now has its city centre shaded by a magnificent and humungous parasol made of good old timber and held together by nothing but glue - yes you heard me: glue!!
Apart from its quite awe-inspiring appearance it really is remarkable that they can manufacture glue that can hold all of that wood up, resist varying temperatures and be confident enough about it to put it into use!

This Metropol Parasol, as it has been officially named, is the largest wooden structure in the world and it's honeycomb appearance can be appreciated from above and below... yip you can walk on top of it too and I am sure it is a spectacular view!
